Gain Real-World Experience with Flying Angels
Flying Angels offers co-op and internship opportunities for students who want meaningful, hands-on experience in a youth sport organization.
Our students and interns work alongside the Flying Angels team and contribute to real projects, programs, events, and day-to-day operations. These are opportunities to develop practical skills, build your résumé, gain references, and experience what it is like to work within a growing sport organization.
Opportunities may be available for high school co-op students, college students, university students, and recent graduates, depending on the position and time of year.
AREAS OF OPPORTUNITY
Co-op and internship placements may be available in areas such as:
Administration & Office Operations
Assist with registrations, databases, spreadsheets, email communications, record keeping, scheduling, document preparation, and general office operations.
Marketing & Social Media
Help create and schedule social media content, promote Flying Angels programs and events, develop campaigns, and assist with growing our online presence.
Video & Content Creation
Assist with filming practices, competitions, athlete features, interviews, promotional videos, YouTube content, photography, and video editing.
Track & Field Program Operations
Assist with athlete registrations, competition entries, uniforms, team records, statistics, travel preparation, camps, Development League meets, and other program activities.
Events & Competitions
Gain experience helping organize Flying Angels track meets, camps, special events, athlete activities, awards, volunteers, event logistics, and competition-day operations.
Other Areas
If your school program requires experience in another field that could be relevant to Flying Angels, we encourage you to apply and explain what type of placement you are seeking.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
A Flying Angels placement is designed to provide practical experience rather than simply observation.
Depending on your role, you may be given responsibility for specific projects and assignments and have the opportunity to see your work contribute directly to our programs and organization.
Students and interns may have opportunities to:

Participate in the planning and delivery of programs and events

Develop a professional portfolio where applicable

Receive feedback and mentorship

Professional when communicating with athletes, parents, coaches, staff, volunteers, and community partners

Interested in learning and gaining practical experience

Comfortable using computers and online platforms

Able to work as part of a team
Experience in track and field is not required for every placement.
Specific skills may be required for certain marketing, video, administrative, or sport-related positions.
PLACEMENT DETAILS
Opportunities may be:
In-person, hybrid, or field-based, depending on the position.
Some positions may involve attending Flying Angels practices, track meets, camps, special events, or other activities.
Hours and placement length will depend on the requirements of the applicant's school or academic program and the needs of Flying Angels.
Some opportunities may be unpaid academic placements, while selected internship opportunities may be paid.
Compensation, where applicable, will be clearly identified before a placement is accepted.
