About Us.
Our History - Soaring Since 1995

The Flying Angels Track Club was founded in 1995 by Coach Earl Letford with a simple yet powerful vision: to provide youth with the opportunity to develop their athletic potential while building confidence, discipline, and character. What began as a small community program has grown into one of Canada's premier youth track and field clubs, producing nationally ranked athletes and inspiring generations of young runners, jumpers, and throwers.
Over the years, Flying Angels has become synonymous with excellence—on and off the track. Our athletes have proudly represented Team Ontario, Team Canada, and various top collegiate programs across North America. Many have gone on to compete at the provincial, national, and even international levels, carrying the spirit of the Flying Angels with them every step of the way.
More than a club, we are a family. With year-round programs for all ages and abilities, Flying Angels continues to uplift and empower athletes across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. From grassroots development to elite training, our legacy is built on dedication, diversity, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to fly.

Founder’s Message
From Coach Earl Letford

Welcome to the Flying Angels Track Club.
When I founded this club in 1995, my goal was simple: to create a space where young people could grow—not just as athletes, but as individuals. I wanted to build a community where every child, regardless of background or experience, had the opportunity to discover their talent, develop discipline, and dream big.

Over the years, I’ve watched thousands of athletes lace up their spikes for the first time—some unsure, some excited, all with potential. I’ve seen them grow into confident, resilient, and high-achieving individuals, many earning scholarships, competing for Team Canada, and excelling in their careers and communities.

At Flying Angels, we believe in the long game. We believe in structure, effort, and support—values that carry over into every part of life. Track and field is the vehicle, but character is the destination. Whether you're aiming for a national championship or a university scholarship, you’ll find the coaching, mentorship, and community here to help you soar.

I invite you to become part of the Flying Angels family. Let’s work together to build the next generation of champions—on the track, in the classroom, and in life.
