SUMMER LEAGUE TEAM
The Flying Angels Summer League Team provides an opportunity for children and youth to have fun, make new friends, and stay fit while learning the basics of track and field. Athletes ages 6-19 years old train one evening each week and compete in track meets in the Ontario Youth Athletic Association (OYAA), including the OYAA Provincial Championships.
Athletes also get an opportunity to compete at the Flying Angels International Classic against athletes from the Caribbean and the United States, and also compete in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Primary Team is designed for children ages 6-10 years old who have a desire to learn the basic skills used in track and field. The group trains two days each week and competes in Minor Track Association (MTA) and Ontario Youth Athletic Association (OYAA) track meets. Team members also participate in the Flying Angels North America and Caribbean Tour. This spring and summer tour stops include Bermuda and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA.
The Elementary Team is ideal for athletes aged 11-14 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of track and field in a fun and positive environment. Program participants train two days each week and compete in local, national, and international track meets. Elementary Team members develop their running, jumping, and throwing techniques while they make friends and develop their self-esteem.
HIGH SCHOOL TEAM
The High School Team provides the best possible training environment to prepare athletes to perform at high level track meets. Athletes in this program train three days per week and compete in track meets throughout Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean. The High School Team members learn advanced training techniques and competition strategies to excel at their chosen events. Athletes in this program who attain the necessary standards may compete in the Ontario Championships and/or the Canadian National Championships.
COMPLETE SKILLS TRAINING GROUP
The Complete Skills Training Group is comprised of athletes who want to train alongside Flying Angels athletes, but don't want the additional pressure of competing in track meets. The athletes in this program train up to two days each week to learn the skills necessary to perform successfully in their school meets.
